HAPPY HOUR! AHHHH

DONT DRINK! (kidding), Hey other than a coach, motivator, trainer, I am a realist - We live in South Beach for crying out loud. So with summer happy hours approaching check this gameplan out.....

> Drink 1 glass of water in between your drinks. This will keep you hydrated, make you feel more full (so you dont drink as much) , and cure that hangover before it even happens in the morning!

> Keep in mind that those fruity mixers are EVIL. Pina Coladas, margaritas and daiquiris will CRUSH your fitness goals simply because of the sugar/syrup content.

> Light beers always a great option. Most are about 100 Calories a Bottle. (DONT DRINK 10!)

> BEER, SHOT, BEER? sounds aggressive ? but this strategy will keep you calorie content down and your buzz up - hows that for strategic drinking? LOL

> A drink an hour....sounds lame or is it? if you really pay attention - its really how fast you drink that gets you in the cab earlier on your way home to ordering pizza. If you just slow up and enjoy the conversation, music, moment sippin on the drink of your choice you might have a more enjoyable time believe it or not and be productive the next day as your co workers try to sneak in the back door over an hour late with "cotton mouth".

> Be conscious. Just like food portions, alcohol intake must be monitored as well. As always dont overdue it, be safe, and most importantly HAVE FUN.

Below is the very definition of happy hour:

"Happy hour" is a marketing term for a period of time in which a restaurant or bar offers discounts on alcoholic drinks, such as beer, wine and cocktails.
Typically it is in the late afternoon Monday through Thursday, sometimes Friday, usually taking place at some period between 4 PM and 7 PM. This promotion is intended to boost business on what may otherwise be a slow day. In most cases the "happy hour" lasts longer than a single hour.
The term Happy Hour also is commonly used to describe the gathering of work colleagues at a restaurant or bar after work hours, including outside the period of 4 PM and 7 PM.
